On Friday, June 6, 2008, W\ Damon B. Carr and the Officers of St. George's Lodge were installed at a public ceremony held at the Schenectady Masonic Community Center at 394 Princetown Road, Rotterdam, NY. Over 70 officers, members, family and friends attended the installation, followed by a reception held at Malozzi's Restaurant in Rotterdam, NY.

On Sunday, April 27, 2008, R\W\ John David Henry and R\W\David E. Barnes, along with Brothers Fred James and Steve Schlamowitz, attended the Opening Day festivities of the Challengers Tri-County Baseball League. A check from the Lodge was presented to Brother Richard Dickershaid, who began the League for special needs children and young adults 19 years ago. St. George's Lodge has been a long-time supporter of the Challengers Program and one of the League teams is named for the lodge.

On Thursday, April 24, 2008, the young women of Lumiere Constellation of Junior Stars presented some of their ritual work to the Brethren and Ladies of the Lodge. The occasion was the Ladies Night Dinner held to thank our ladies and the widows of our Lodge brothers for their support. The ladies (and brethren) were treated to dinner and each lady received a flower. After dinner, everyone moved to the Lodge room for the presentation by Lumiere Constellation.

St. George's Lodge conferred the Master Mason Degree for three new brothers on February 28, 2008 at the Masonic Community Center in Schenectady, NY. The Third or Master Mason Degree was performed by the officers and brothers of St. George's Lodge with notable assistance from brothers of the Rensselaer-Schenectady Masonic District. The fourth new brother of St. George's, Brian Salzman received the Master Mason Degree on December 20, 2007 at Apollo-King Solomon Lodge No. 13, Troy, NY
